The use of mobile phones as the primary contact for your customers, contacts and staff is continuing to rise. The cost of calling mobile phones from Landlines has significantly decreased through market pressure but landline to mobile calls still subsume up to 80% of the total call budget and as traffic volumes to mobile phones continue to rise then so will the proportion of the costs.
Mobile to mobile calling has always been cheaper and it is these cheaper commercial tariffs which mobile Gateways utilize to deliver a service packaged for the customer. This entails installing equipment on the customer site which diverts calls to mobiles directly onto the mobile network. Obsidian are currently able to offer call rates from as low as 3 pence per minute to any mobile network.
Further benefits such as the ability to send SMS messages, like appointment reminders, through the gateway have been proven in NHS trials to increase efficiency at very little cost. Also, the ability to make free "on-net" calls to your own user group could further decrease your mobile expenditure.
Why Obsidian?- We are working with N3 SP for the NHS and have agreed our Service Level Agreement and Terms & Conditions with them.
- There is no capital outlay for our equipment. We will provide and install the gateway equipment at no cost to you.

- We will carry out a site survey to ensure your location is suitable for a mobile gateway and will check capacity on the mobile networks in your area.
